When I run out of homes to sell, which happens more often than I like, I hold Open Houses for other Agents. The fun of it is picking which houses to hold open. Which transalates to seeing some really nice home. Buyers aren't the only ones who get to shop around. Today's Open House is at 2001 S Dimond D. Backed up to the Tucson Mountain Reserve amongst other beautiful southwestern style homes. The people in the neighborhood have been very friendly.
What I really like is the mountain views with all the saguaros. Tucson is known for its sahuaro cacti. It take nearly 100 years for a saguaro to grow an arm. Right after I took the picture through the dining area window I watche a mountain biker pedal by along the mountain side. Just 5 minutes from Old Tucson Studios where movie makers shot High Chaparral. Monolito Montoya was my favortie character. And who could forget Linda Cristal who was coaxed out of reitrement to play Victoria Montoya. John Wayne filmed several movies at Old Tucson Studios. There has been more activity there lately with more movie making. Potentially brining more big names to Tucson.
Down the road a few more miles is the Sonroan Desert Museum. One of Tucson's favorite attractions. People from all over the world travel to Tucson to see the animals in an environment that embcraces the natural habitat of many desert animals. One of the favorite attractions is the raptor flight demonstrations. Fun to watch. I've been noticing while here some of the birds flying around, landing in the trees and bushes. With the right feeders on the different trees you could see a wide variety over a period of time.
