Back in my days as a mechanic,one of the guys we worked with was as lazy as the day is long.  He rarely finished a job but rarely got in trouble for goofing off.  His secret was that at least once an hour he would make a point of walking in front of the foreman’s office with an old part or some type of tool.  He never fixed anything but he always looked busy.

Tonight I attended 5:00 mass and was reminded of my old friend.  The priest giving the homily mentioned that at the VA hospital he serves at he has instructed his staff to be visible.  He stated that visibility leads to credibility.  I don’t know how credible my friend was years ago but as the old saying goes, seeing is believing.  

What are my bosses ( client’s ) believing about me?  Am I staying in front of them with tools of the market?  Do they know I’m doing everything I can to serve their needs?  I guess the best way to find out is call them and be visible.
