Motivational Power Quote

Good Listener Makes People Feel Important

"A good listener is not only

popular everywhere,

but after a while

gets to know something."

Wilson Mizner (1876-1935)

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Good listener makes people feel important

A good listener is popular.

Not only is a good listener popular they are in demand.

People loved to be heard and a listener make people feel good about themselves by listening to them.

The more we listen the more we learn and what we learn becomes the power of knowledge.

Be an exceptional listener and you will find that people seek you out and want to be in your presents.

A good listener becomes popular; because they make the people around them feel important.

This is so true. Haven't we always been told this in many aspects of daily life. Thanks for the reminder.

You are so right!  One of the most important things that we can do for another person is to LISTEN, REALLY LISTEN to them.

In the 90's I bought a CD program called "The Art of Listening". It was one of the most useful and educational programs as it taught me the importance of listening and really focusing on what a person is conveying..... we have so many ways of "talking" to one another!  I consider myself a attentive and considerate listener...... one thing, that so many need to learn, is to let the other person who is expressing themselves FINISH THEIR THOUGHTS WITHOUT INTERRUPTION (esp. important with our children or students).... interrupting someone while they are speaking conveys so many negative messages: your opinion doesn't matter and what I think is more importatnt.... I really like Don's H.'s message.....

Listening is a trait that requires constant attention. It is so easy to not be a good listener and very hard to be. Thanks for the rreminder! Enjoy the day!

I see it everytime Igo to a listing appointment, asking question and LISTENING to the answers works much better than giving a speech.

You are so right.  It starts with listening so that we can let clients know that we care enough about them.  The more we listen the more we establish the relationship.  Clients will, with trust, tell us what we need to know to best assist them.  It begins and ends with listening.
