Is an invasion of frogs one of the ten plagues?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Professional Partners

My husband, who is also an agent, recently was talking to a neighbor. She was complaining about all of the frogs that invade her back patio that abuts up to the golf course. Her home is near one of the water ponds.

Every day she gets up early to chase the pesky amphibians from her back patio. They have eaten through the drip irrigation system, eaten many of her plants and have made a mess on the patio.

She is thinking of selling her home and wants to know if she has to disclose the frog problem?

The Arizona Residential Sellers's Property Disclosure Statement (SPDS) requires
that sellers need to disclose the following:

Are you aware of or have you observed any of the following on the Property? (Check all that apply): Scorpions. Rabid animals Bee swarms. Rodents. Reptiles. Other: Explain:

How often is the Property serviced or treated for pests, reptiles, insects or animals? Name of service provider: Date of last service:

Frog jokes aside, yes she has to disclose.

Very good information. We always check for bugs but I would have never thought of a frog problem.

Find a nice snake to have as a guest. The frogs will soon disappear and without food so will the snake.

Jay and Joh, thanks for the feedback. We have rattlers in the area, but it is not hot enough now for them to sit out in the afternoon sun.

That is one disclosure I would not have thought about!     Our property disclosure form does not include those items.

Joan, thanks for commenting. Living in the  desert, we have all sorts of critters we have to worry about, including coyotes, bobcats, and havalinas.

And here I thought frogs were among the 'good guys' in the garden, eating all sorts of insect pests!

Beth, thanks for the comment. I also thought they were the good guys. But obviously these frogs are not so friendly.
