Part II
The Cinco de Mayo celebration in Kennett Square offered variety in the way of a very talented singer, Pedro Camargo, who not only crooned convincingly, but dazzled with his silver-trimmed costume. And the young dancers from Grupo Folklorico Yaretzi had a surprise in store--dancing a whole number while balancing glasses of water on their heads! And not a drop was spilled on the spectacular costumes!
A highlight of the festival was the crowning of Miss (Sen~orita) Cinco de Mayo by a man who (I think--but it was all in Spanish) represented Univision TV, assisted by a dapper little Chico who held the crown. After all the royal wedding hats and crowns on last Friday, this was a more down-home version of royalty with a definite local flavor!
