One of my favorite bi-products of Active Rain is the milestones. I don't look at milestones often, but I don't mind seeing it every once and a while. 
Active Rain take a lot of work!
It does, but nothing great in life comes easy. 86 Referrals has me convinced that this isn't a hobby, but truly a part of an awesome business plan.
I just signed up for UPLOG.ORG. I was told that it was simple to use and would "out-SEO" Active Rain. You have to know Wordpress for it to work. I need to know Wordpress. The leader there is incredibly intelligent, but when it comes to Wordpress, I'm the kid that needs to wear the Velcro shoes b/c I can't tie laces.
So, I got to thinking....points are great. I love watching them roll like the time on a clock, but in reality, they're not the reason I'm here.
The Truest Measure to my success is this. How many referrals have you recieved from doing busiiness here? 86 so far is good enough to me.
But to make sure that I'm on the right path, I'll take a look a the milestones as well. I really don't want to veer left or right and
these milestones keep me focused on doing activities that create referrals.

Featured posts - just cracked 50 - tells me that from time to time I write something that people find of value;

Comments received - just under 13,000.....Same as last one. I'm writing enough material that some folks feel that they can share their feelings, comments, ideas with me and the rest of the world;

Subscribers - There are either 300 idiots on Active Rain, or I'm finally figuring out how to write decent stuff. This number has increased by over 100 in just the last 6 months, so this is a significant measure for me!

Called Shots- I'm getting a few of them. It tells me that I'm able to also recognize other good talent. Why's that important? I can study their style and content so that I can learn from them as well
Milestones have become more important to me as a measuring tool here in Active Rain. Lovin it!
