School of Rock is Coming to Shelton CT

The SportsCenter of Connecticut on the River Road (Route 110) in Shelton, CT has announced that the School of Rock will be opening in the SportsCenter in a soundproof 2,900 square foot space above the Game Zone arcade.

The School of Rock  is a national franchise which currently has locations in Fairfield and New Canaan.

The school provides music education for kids in grade 2 through grade 12 with weekly private lessons with professional working musicians and group rehearsals.  The rehearsals prepare the students for the school ‘recital’ which consists of live concerts at local venues.   It’s not just about playing an instrument; it’s all about playing in a group.

Instruction is included on guitar, drums, keyboards, bass guitar and vocals.  The School of Rock works with all levels of playing ability.  Students grow at their own pace.

Guitar Hero is fun. But this is what REALLY ROCKS!  Take a look at the School of Rock in action and soon to be in Shelton CT.

So did you sign up?  I should get my husband a class - he played guitar in a Jr. High band...

Barbara when I first saw the title I thought this was going to be a blog about the movie "School of Rock".  I guess I was a little off on that one :)

Joan -- This is a great addition as it is learning to play an instrument or sing in a group, not just individually. I'm sure they'll do well. Julia -- Well, I don't think I qualify -- LOL. Used to play piano when I was young and never played in a group. I think it's a great concept rather than just one-on-one and play for yourself. George -- I'll do that blog at a later date. he he
