Redding CA - Short Sale Update and News - HAFA Short Sales Improving--I recently closed a HAFA short sale. I have another that will close in 10 days and a new one that we are just submitting. I still have one HAFA with Chase Bank that is in limbo. Chase has given us a purchase price that is unrealistic and we have yet to even have a showing. After much effort on my part to deal with the price issues through a BPO, phone calls and email, we are stuck. Chase has always been the hardest bank to deal with in my history of short sales.
There is hope on HAFA short sales in general, however. It is a good solution because it offers the homeowner the most protection and also incents the Seller with a relocation incentive of $3000. That helps anyone in their transition out of their home.

- Educate youself about what options are available to you.
- Speak with a legal advisor on your specific situation.
- Speak with a financial advisor on the ramifications to you specifically on doing a short sale.
- You must determine the best option for your set of circumstances.
- You must have suffered a hardship to qualify for a Short Sale.
- You will be required to submit 2 years of tax returns, 2 consecutive current bank statements, 2 current pay stubs, a hardship letter, and a financial worksheet.

There are services out there that slant their perspective to get your business. I speak with attorneys and I get different information and perspectives. Look for objective information. Check out the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and California Association of Realtors (CAR) for information on loan modifications and short sales. Go online and do research. Talk with friend and family. Invest time in making this decision. It is an important decision.
