Have some cleaning projects to get to this weekend and don't want to use toxic chemicals. Here are some ideas to 'green' your cleaning operations at home.
Glass, Windows, Mirrors Cleaner
Combine 1/4 cup of vinegar to 2 or 3 cups of water. Use a newspaper to wipe or use a clean old cotton rag.
Microwave Cleaner
1/4 c. vinegar
1 c. water
Combine in microwave safe bowl, heat on high for 3-4 minutes, remove bowl and wipe down inside of microwave.
Unclog A Drain or Prevent Clogged Drains
Prevent clogged drains by sending this mixture down sink and shower drains every few months.
3/4 c. baking soda
1/2 c. vinegar
Water
Put the DRY baking soda down the drain.
Pour vinegar down the drain after the baking soda.
Leave this concoction in the drain for about 30 minutes.
While you are waiting, boil a tea kettle full of water. After 30 minutes, remove the plug and slowly pour the HOT water down the drain.
