Canada's Walk Of Fame - A Song For Canada Competition
Presented by RE/MAX
With Canada Day just a few short days away I could not think of a better time than right now to ask the question posed by the competition.
"What makes you PROUD to be Canadian? Tell us (Canada's Walk Of Fame) what Canada today means to you - write a poem or essay for your chance to win the $25,000.00 Grand Prize, studio recording time at Metalworks Studios valued at $10,000, plus and the opportunity to work with acclaimed Canadian musicians Stephan Moccio, Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk."
Canadians across the country have been submitting their poems and essays describing what they feel is the esence of Canada and what makes them proud to be Canadian. Respondents have also been encouraged to submit a musical or vocal interpretation of what they submitted. There is a possibility that their submission may be featured this October when the song is debuted nationally during the Canada's Walk of Fame Televised Awards on Global and Slice. A recent Press Release: Announced A Song For Canada Co-Lyricists Canadian Musicians Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk joined acclaimed pianist, producer and song writer Stephan Moccio to help create a Song for Canada For more information on the prizes & rules visit A Song For Canada The Competition |

"About Canada's Walk of Fame
Established in 1998, Canada's Walk of Fame (CWOF) aims to educate, inform, and inspire through the permanent celebration of achievements in Canadian music, sport, film and television as well as the literary, visual and performing arts, and science and innovation. In 2010, CWOF expanded to include a four-day festival of music, comedy and film featuring some of Canada's most popular and iconic performers. The annual celebration culminates in a televised awards special that honours Canada's finest stars from the worlds of arts, entertainment and sports. Each inductee is immortalized, their names forever cemented into the sidewalks of Toronto's Entertainment District. To-date, 131 Canadians have been honoured, including Margaret Atwood, Howie Mandel, Steve Nash, Michael J. Fox and Blue Rodeo. A complete list of inductees along with more information on Canada's Walk of Fame can be found at www.canadaswalkoffame.com."
