Rockland County Street Fairs - Nyack May 15 2011 & Suffern May 22 2011
Summer is just about over and its back to school with a touch of fall in the air, but if you like street fairs (and who doesn't) lucky for you that Suffern's street fairs don't end with the summer.
The last of Suffern's three 2011 street fairs will take place this Sunday, September 18 and with more than 100 vendors participating, and music, food and live entertainment for the whole family. As usual, it will take place on Lafayette Avenue. Vendors will line the streets from the Gazebo opposite the Lafayette Theater, until the end of Lafayette at Orange Avenue. In case the weather, your schedule or real life gets in the way and you miss this week's street fair in Suffern, you can catch Nyack's Septemberfest the next Sunday, September 25, 2011. It will be held downtown at Main Street and Broadway rain or shine from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Nyack, NY is located on the Hudson River just at the foot of the Tappan Zee Bridge. It's a beautiful and artsy town, with lots of antique shops and street cafes. Their street fairs, sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce, are always well attended and feature lots of hand crafted items, art and antiques. As always, there will be music, food, and entertainment for the kids.

So take your pick and plan on attending either one or both of these fun filled family events - The Suffern Street Fair on September 18, 2011 or Nyack's Septemberfest on September 25,2011.
