Wine Lovers Journey through the World of Wine - at the Suffern Library
In my day, libraries were a place you came to to do research, reading and to check out books. Boring places compared to today's libraries! Today's libraries, at least the ones in my neck of the woods, are more like community centers with lots of interesting scheduled events.
This weeks scheduled event of interest at the Suffern Free Library is a wine tasting class. It will run weekly on Tuesday's, for a total of 6 sessions beginning on September 20 through November 1, with no session scheduled on October 11. You'll get a chance to learn all you'd like about wine basics and to sample wines from around the world. The first session will concentrate on the wines and vineyards in New York and California.
These wine lover classes are scheduled for 7:00 PM and each class is about one and a half hours in length. You need to be over 21 to participate and you need to register first. If you're planning on doing any tasting, you'll have to bring your own wine glass! Since space is limited, preference will be given to Suffern & Sloatsburg Library cardholders.
The Suffern Free Library is located at 210 Lafayette Avenue in Suffern NY.
