Marketing My The Client's Best Interests vs Markerting My Ego

By

I have a few short observations about my industry.  Have you noticed most Realtors spend 90% of their marketing efforts marketing themselves and their brand but very little time marketing their properties?  In today's market as Real Estate professional we need to become even more focused on creative ways to highlight and expose our listings to the buying public.  I practice CLIENT CENTRIC Marketing.  Client centric marketing puts my seller's property at the center of my Marketing Universe!   It all starts with a unique property website.  Let's examine one of my current listings:

8830 Cottonwood Lane N is a town home in Maple Grove.  I have created a property website at http://www.8830cottonwood.com/ .  This site has pictures has all the pertinent property information a long with pictures and a virtual tour.  I also had a custom sign rider created that has the web address. This site is linked to my URL http://www.townhomeconnection.com/ which plays on key words and Meta tags.  The single property website is also submitted to a dozen top search engines and real estate portals.  All my listings are on Craig's List as well.

Besides extensive web exposure, I expose and distribute property information through other local businesses. I create strategic business alliances with other business owners and cross market their products and services with my property listings.  In Cottonwood's case, I have several local Chanticlear Pizza stores handing out coupon cards that have   color photos and property info to apartments in Maple Grove & Plymouth.  The Renter is seeing the listing and receiving a coupon for a future pizza offer.  It is a win-win-win fo everyone. The seller's home is being exposed to the correct target market ( 1st time home buyers,) Chanticlear gets free print marketing, and I get extended exposure.  But at the center of the marketing message is the client's property.

My responsibility to my client is at the forefront of my efforts!  That is my value proposition and differentiates me from the other Realtors in my market place. To me I do not need to market my ego.  I just want to promote, expose, and market my clients' properties!
