"I DO!"

What does a Wedding Dress and a Buying a house have in common?

You set the budget.

You choose one based on the right price.

Often, the more expensive it is, the more it has to offer.

Look for one with the best fit!

You choose the details to your liking.

You consult with others for their opinion.

It can be all white or any color.

                               You can accessorize it.

It’s lifeless without somebody in it.

They vary in how high up they go.

You usually need someone to help you get in and out of it.

They both take a while to close.

And in the world of the Kardashians,

“If you get divorced, the woman expects to keep it.”

“When you outgrow it, you can move on to another.”

“Why have just one, when you can have three.”

I have to say, mine still fits, lol. And as far as the K's go, I really do not care :)

Kim K is a pig!  Plain and simple.  She is so wrong and I hope she is truly feeling the backlash of her selfish, manipulative unsacred doings.  PIG!

*Ok, I feel better now :)

This is such a great post Ellen. First of all I love your sketch. Most of us would have to go and buy a photo to insert but no, you just draw one. Second, the analogy is perfect. I think my wedding dress would actually be too big! That's a good thing....my home, still perfect.

Anna, you know I love to laugh...and let other's join in too. Glad you enjoyed it.

Patricia, I think he did, but she wants it now! Perhaps she knew what was coming so she figured it would even out the divorce settlement!

Amy, I wish I could find mine....believe it or not, we left it in the attic of one of the last houses we lived in! And I have no plans of buying another, in less I'm paying for my daughters!

Jackie, Me Too! I' wont ever do that again, once is enough! Moving I'll do as long as it gets better.

Valerie, I should sketch more....see what it brings out of me. And even in renting stay more that a year!

Kerrie, love you attitude..... see what laughs she's brought out of us here in the rain!

Shar, I thought I'd make you laugh at this! And BTW my daughter said that a Wedding dress can be the size of a house! LOL

Ellen, great analogy, but I really wanted to comment on the drawing...you certainly are talented.

Oh yes, one more thing......you could have gone the rest of the year century without mentioning the Kardashians...ooops I said that name.

Nick, I do love to draw..and it brings outs all my creativity. As for those Kardashians, every good analogy needs a good punch line!

Josh, thanks for dropping by. I know Laurie will be calling you soon, then I can see more of your handi-work.

Elllen, great analogy and fun to read. Love your art.... What is all the flap about the Kardashians...don't like them and never watched the show.

Rebecca, my daughters make me watch them...and the longer they have been on air, the more I see how fake, full of themselves they are. Kims overplayed wedding and divorce 72 days later was the icing on the toppled cake!

Ellen, what I'd like to "Punch" are the Kardashians TV Kardashians every time I see or hear of the "K's".

Sussie, just a fun way to compare!

Nick, I've had with them too. Why do they think they are so BIG? Big asses don't count, or there'd be a lot more people boasting on TV. LOL

I like the wedding dress and buying a house comparison. The best fit I think is the most important.

PS. I have only heard the name Kim Kardashian, but I have know idea how or why she got her 15 minutes and celebrity status. I know if she had any talent I probably would know who she is.

Mitchell, And women will get this too! do you know how much time, trial, and preparation goes into finding the perfect dress?

As for the Kardashians, I couldn't resist capitalizing on how the public feels about them today, a joke!

There's the Ellen we all know and missed. Great and witty comparison and beautiful sketch. Read that you left your dress in one of your old houses - didn't you want to go back and get it?

Jill, I think I was too embarrassed and shy to ask for it back, that is if it was there, or maybe my husband doesn't know where its at.  And this is indeed the Ellen I like to be, fun creative and full of humor!
