I'll probably be crawling to my appointments tomorrow and I'm feeling muscles that I had long forgotten about. But it's all good - I raced for a good cause!

Mike Cooper called (me out) and I answered. Today was the day for his 12 hour SUSAN G. KOMEN PEDAL FOR A CURE at the Valley Health Wellness & Fitness in Winchester, VA.

Winchester, VA is just about 110 miles from my home - less than 2 hours and beautiful scenery along the way - close enough to take the trip and participate in Mike's awesome fundraiser.

As far as I'm concerned the whole fundraiser was a huge success. I had a great time - great music (they even had a live band playing), great people and great instructors who were so good that they made me really miss my own Spinning classes I used to teach! And all for a great cause! I'm very glad Mike reached out and I was able to be part of it.

And, of course, it was real nice to meet Mike in person! If you turn this into an annual event, Mike, I'll be back next year! I hope you reached your fundraising goal and then some!

The Race for a Cure gave me the chance to ride in memory of and in honor of the women in my life who have battled the disease or are still battling it. You are all incredibly strong and I am so very lucky to know you!

Cindy: Mike was there from 7 to 7! I rode for about 3 hours non-stop. It's been a while since I instructed my classes & I was a wee bit worried I'm going to fall off the bike! But the time flew by and I'll plan on more next time around!

It was so great to have you! The event continued at the same pace until 7 pm. One rider did all twelve hours, I had three that did six and one that did about 8. I did 10.5 hours and led that last session. Over all, it was a smashing success. Thanks for making the trip. It was a great pleasure to meet the whole clan.

Hi Pat: I used to teach a lot of Spinning classes but it's been awhile and I was a bit worried if I could still do it. But as soon as you sit down the adrenaline kicks in and you wont feel the pain until you get off ;-)

Hi Mike: We all had a blast! The girls had a great time at the park playing with the leaves and seeing the ducks and geese! All the participants were amazing! I'm curious to find out how well you did! I hope you reached your goal!

Hi Pam: GO we did! It was a lot of fun! Maybe Mike needs to organize this in different cities so more Rainers can attend!

Hi Sandy: I love Spinning - I'm not in the same shape as I was in a few years ago, thus the whole 12 hours were a bit too much even though I really wanted to! But there is always next year! It was such a great event, I would do it again anytime! Thank you!
