Art event to benefit Cancer Society

The Spring Art Society will have an Art event that will benefit the Breast Cancer Society.  There will be a silent auction of boxes designed and executed by local artists at this event.  The event has been dubbed "Day of The Living."

The Spring Art Society will also have a reception which is to be held simultanSpring Art Benefiteously at Mason's on Midway STreet Gallery and The Garden of the Dragonfly Gallery Saturday, November 3rd from 5-8pm. 

Each artist's box is to represent their idea of life.

These boxes are wooden so the artist can carve, paint, collage, embellish or all of these.

The box selling for the most will gain for it's creator a cash prize of $250.

A minimum of 10% of the procedes on each box sold will be donated to Breast Cancer Research and Awareness.

Door prizes will be ararded.

The public is invited to come, see, and bid for this worthy cause.

Candy, I would love to go to something like this, I am always amazed at how creative people are! My daughter made it to two important art expositions and I loved seeing not only her work but all the other artists as well.  I hope you are able to go, I would love to see some pictures.

Danny - Nice painting you have there!  I really like Marcel Mouly.  I like the vibrant colors he uses many times.  I once saw a painting he did of the twin towers that was so lovely and serene.  I believe he studied with Picasso, didn't he? Thanks for stopping by.

Cynthia - I agree, I think "the day of the Living" is a great name for the show, it is very inspiring.  I am sure there will be a good turnout, I am thinking I may get my neighbor to go for me and get me a box.
