The magic is - when they let you pet them and feed them and brush them. Magnificent animals.
Horse are beautiful creatures and they do have a graceful and peaceful way about them that stands out.
Having been "horseless" for nearly 2 years now (I lost the last 2 - one to illness and the other old age) I am definitely going looking for another come Spring. It simply doesn't feel right not to have one of these magnificent creatures in my pasture.
my grandparents had a farm when I was a girl. I rode bareback all the time on weekends. I miss them, but can't have horses on the property I own now. Perhaps some day in the future again. I think you are right though, God graced them with beauty and grace.

You're not kidding Todd! Some of my fondest memories was working the rodeo circuit with my parents in their business, the beauty of the horses being worked. They truly are a magnificient animal, such beauty and grace.
Horses are great animals! A mile down the road is a horse farm and I ride my bike down some days just for the relaxation. Horses are gorgeous and graceful!
I am sure many people have different memories regarding horse some good some bad . Although mine was not so good I can agree that horse have a power and might about them that you dont see in some animals. ( J )
