Words will never be enough to describe the emotional balance Lazer helps provide in the household. This independent, sassy and boldly defiant cat is battling kidney disease heroically. She's beaten this illness before but this time she's really, really sick. We are doing everything we can to address the symptons and we're guardedly optimistic about the slight improvement she's showing and dedicated to not allowing her to suffer. As long as she's willing to fight, so are we.

Positive thinking and prayers have proven beneficial time after time when patients strive to overcome illness and injury. We would be so grateful for any healing thoughts, prayers and white light you can spare for the amazing Lazerkitty.

Mona, It is so tough when our pets get sick. My last golden Buddy dies of cancer 2 years ago. It just broke my heart. Best of luck.

Lazer looks a lot like a black cat I had, which lived to be 19. Sabu was probably one of the more favored felines that has lived with me over the years. I am hopeful that Lazer quickly recovers, and enjoys many more years with your family!

Hi Myrl, we're already very fortunate to have had her for 14 years. She's already gotten 3 of her lives back.

Mona - sending you best wishes for Lazer, she looks like a fighter and hopefully she will be able to pull through this challenge. It's amazing how tough those felines are. Here's a pic of our Yin. We lost her sister, Yang, earlier this year to a stroke, but Yin has some powerful mojo and is sending her very best to Lazer!

I know what it's like having a family pet with a medical problem. I simply hate it.

Clint, thank you for your concerns with Lazer. I also enjoyed "the call" and again congratulations on 6,000 comments...that's huge! You have a very nice voice and I'm glad you were available to talk.

Jeanean, we've sat watch with many pets through many illnesses and rode the roller coaster of recovery, relapse, recovery, death. We've never left them alone and they always know we do everything out of love. I'm so sorry for your loss of your beautiful Golden. They are so brave and so loyal to their human family.

Judy, you know we appreciate you and your healing wishes. With all of this outpouring it will help Lazer decide which way to go.
