Good News to Begin 2012 - One of our Clients is Building a New Madeline Island Home

The best part of making a property sale is the happy ending.  When we sold a vacant lakeshore lot at 3720 North Shore Road, LaPointe in October of 2010, our buyers were dreaming of building a new home on Madeline Island.  Now it appears that dream is much closer to becoming a reality.

My clients reported to me a couple of days ago that the well and sanitary system is in, electricity is on-site and they plan to begin construction of their new home on North Shore Road in the spring of 2012.

There hasn't been much new construction underway on Madeline Island during the past year.  It's good to see a new dwelling project moving forward on the Island.  That means construction jobs for local tradespeople.

When you're a real estate broker or agent, it's easy to get bogged down in day-to-day discussions about the slow real estate market.  But it's also important to take a moment and pat yourself on the back when a client succeeds in achieving their goal of a new home or cottage.

It's important to be reminded that life goes on.  Sellers are still selling and buyers are buying.  Property owners are still fixing up and remodeling their existing homes.  And when the buyer of a vacant parcel creates a new home on Madeline Island, that is encouraging news indeed.
