This is my first Blog entry I've been doing the website thing for a couple years now but I finally decided to join this new fad called Blogging.... does it work?? I'm excited to get this show on the road... any advice? I have a lot of opinions and my fabulous web designer told me about this site... he said I needed to start networking, I guess with so much free time on my hands these days it can't hurt!?!?! Are there any other members out there who specialize in Lofts? How is business? I'm in survival mode. Have a couple deals in the pipeline, but it's kind of drying up like Lake Lanier ---> The one and only Lake in near Atlanta where we get all our water rumor has it we will be out of water in 90 days... at least that's what I heard 89 days ago. I'm thinking about starting a well drilling business, maybe I could offer that as a service when I sell a home.

I haven't sold any property up at Lanier... but I know that it is almost a puddle now. We are doing rain dances here in Atlanta hoping that the winter will bring some water. There was talk of new construction being put on hold because of the water issues, but I think that was just a rumor.

Search thru the groups and you will find the answers to so many questions :) You will be reading for hours but if you read the blogs it will all come to you... so to "make a link" you need to type the word/or phrase of your link - then "highlight" and the "link" tool will be visible. Once you click on the link tool a box will pop up asking for the address - simple as that :)

I have been on Active Rain for only three months... and blogging works ! My advice. When you read the comments people make to your blog posts... and you find a comment you really like... click on their name, then go to their blog... and read everything you can in their posts... and comment as much as you can. Hi Vanessa: I just looked at your profile again, and you do not belong to any "groups." May I suggest to look again at my profile, and to the left of it is a list of quite a few groups that I feel are worthwhile joining... for me at least. Take a look, click on some and if you find some you like... click on "join group." Then, when you write a blog post, you can check all the groups... up to five for each post... that you would like your post entered on. That can get your post more widely read, and help get you noticed... which could get you some referrals. Best of luck !
