Meme me???

Meme is a new term for me. I've been memed, so here's 5 things about me:

1.  Hailed from Malaysia. Been in the United States since Summer of 1996. My first night not in my own bed was when I left home for college (yes, the great Sooner State)..... I was 20 yrs old. Boy, it was tough. The toughest 3 months in my life. My friend brought me to this gigantic super grocery store called Walmart. I stood for for 3 minutes, stunned at all the vast brands of laundry detergent I could possibly buy. I didnt know how to use the washing machine and I certainly didnt want to let my friends know that Mom did EVERYTHING for me. After 2.5 years of life training, I graduated from OU - a proud Sooner!!!

2. I'm passionate about photography.  If money was never an issue, I'd be a travel photographer, going around the world capturing moments - people, animal, landscape, architecture and urban abstract. My lifelong dream is to tell stories through my camera lens. They say, "Picture is worth a thousand words".

3. I don't enjoy spotlights ie being in the center of attention. At our wedding reception, I chose a simple hair style with a simple long evening dress. My sister who loves attention more than me had a MARGIE SIMPSON hair-do. My husband was ushering guests that night.  I stood behind my tall friends at the cocktail. Some very distant relatives asked Where the Bride was.....Oh boy, it was funny! I'm glad it was over and I'm never getting married again. 

4. I'm afraid of needles. The worst memory was me running around my classroom at First Grade. The nurse and teacher had to play catch with me. When I got caught, I hugged my oversized teacher and the nurse headed straight for me. Till today, my friends still remembered it! Almost 25 years ago!!!

5. I much prefer to email than to pick up the phone. I'm not sure why. I'm learning to step out of my comfort zone though!!!
