God is... in simple terms.

God is...

God is not able to be described in human terms. We don’t have the words in our vocabulary that adequately describe Him or His majesty.
Feeble as they are, here’s the best I can do...

He is that smell of breakfast being cooked while still awaking. Good things to come.
He is your spouse asking if you want something when you don’t deserve to be waited on.
He is that coincidence of running into someone just minutes after you thought of them for the first time in like forever.
He is the artist painting the evening sunset and the morning sky.
He is the laughter in a beautiful child. Children laugh on average 70 times more than adults.
He is that feeling of satisfaction after doing something nice for someone... especially someone who really didn’t deserve it by our definitions.
He is that goose bump feeling when your special someone says I love you.
He is that warm feeling when someone appreciates you for anything.
He is that power tool finally starting after almost losing it on it and then trying the calm prayer of “Help me Lord.”
He is that little warning in your head right before you do something stupid. Then the pat on the back when you stop.
He is the scipture you read that tells you the answer to a question you just had for Him. Also that one scripture you hear 3 times in 2 days...
He is that dream you had last night.
His voice is the voice in your head that you know deep down is the right one... especially if you don’t like it and especially if it seems inconvenient to you.
He is that extra hard squeeze in the hugs of your children. He is that check arriving that you totally forgot or never expected... and usually just when you needed it most.

He is that second chance and the third and the fourth when you never deserved the first chance at all. God is the people just after a disaster proclaiming His goodness when they have absolutely nothing left.

Most of all...
He is pure patience. He has all the time in the universe. He is that deja vu when He wants you to get something... and you missed it the 1st time.
He is pure love. Love that isn’t deserved. Love that you cannot describe. Love that is not dependent on reciprocity. Love that transcends all else. One that never runs out of opportunities to be had. A love that gives us all the chances to know Him but never forces that relationship.
He is always here, never leaving us alone. He is peace and tranquility beyond description. He is always... in control of everything... even when we can’t see it.

Well that's the best I can do today, let me hear what you have.

He is all that - and for me he is nature, pure and simple.  There is nothing that inspires me more than the natural wild of the earth (precious little that is left.)

But he did visit me two weeks ago when I was hurriedly getting ready for an important CMA presentation at 10:00 am.  Something was bothering me and I kept ingoring it.  It was persistent and for some reason I grabbed by Iphone and checked to see that the appointment was at 9:00 am.  Somehow, I made it!

Ahhh yes, those are very good.

14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;

15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

Margaret, wow, that's a good one. Yes, anything that God creates is in a state of growth and most certainly alive. Anything man creates is in a state of decay. An oak tree will continue to grow until it's life is interupted. Cut it down and make a table out of it and it is decaying to where it will be dust someday. Keep listening... Jesus is still saving.

Doug, Nice, very nice. I especially love John 3:17 myself. I try to live by that everyday. Lately the homosexual marriage push is what I keep having thrown in my face and can't judge it... I only want to save them and love them where they are. Jesus can take care of the particulars, I'm just to love them and not judge them. Blessings.

He has done SO MUCH for us. He sacrificed Himself for us out of pure love. We certainly don't deserve it. Out of love and gratitude all belivers should adopt the role of servent to others. The very example that He gave us. "Even if you've done it onto the least of these, you have done it onto me."
