I subscribe to a daily inspirational message from www.tut.com . . . It's a very interesting thing. Whoever it is that writes these messages always seems to be standing on my shoulder as I travel along because the messages are uncanny . . . almost ALWAYS just what I need to hear. Today's message is one that I'd like to share:
"Doesn't it happen like that, Barry? I mean, isn't your entire life proof? One day you're scrimping, the next you're in the money.
One day you're lonely, the next you have friends.
Lost, then found. Ill, then well. Low, then high.
Yet with hindsight, it becomes ever so clear that the only thing that ever really changed was your thinking. Even though you were free to think as you pleased the whole time.
History need not repeat itself -
The Universe"
WOW!
It speaks volumes to me. This really IS all about MINDSET. Certainly I have written a lot about mindset . . . and I am a true believer that we create our own environment whether it be a "good and happy" one or a "Bad and sad" one . . . We can be champions or victims . . . It really IS our choice.
Things do happen in our lives that seem to be out of our control. Loved ones suffer horrible diseases or untimely accidents . . . and we don't understand . . . The question often is: "If God is a loving God, how could such a thing happen? WHY ME?" Andy Andrews talks about this in his first decision . . . "why NOT me?" is a more appropriate question. We cannot "control" our environment . . . We CAN control our mindset . . . Master this, and we create a life with more money, friends, wellness, and HIGHS.
If nothing else, commit to yourself that you will not allow "History to repeat itself"
The mantra can become one of "Life is GOOD and everything happens for a reason that we may not understand fully when things happen" . . .
Be the champion that you are!
