WOW! I can't believe that this is my 100th blog on Active Rain since joining in August 2006. And what a great day to take this opportunity to make my 100th blog...January 1, 2007!
I remember when Catherine Myers invited me to join this place where people blogged called Active Rain. I had never heard of blogging...a little skeptical and somewhat frightened especially since Catherine became AOL and I was left to figure it all out on my own. I decided to give it a chance... started typing about something I knew...Real Estate. It became an addicting past time where most people that know me well would leave message and say...Gena, stop blogging and answer the phone! All things need to be done in moderation...although it's difficult to keep it in moderation.
The friends I've made here have been great. I can't think of another place where there are so many professionals all in one place that are so caring and knowledgeable. The camaraderie and referral base that I have experienced has been nothing short of remarkable. And now, after reading so many blogs about all the different areas where each of you live, I will be hard pressed to figure out which place to visit first.
I celebrate each and everyone here, you are great people with your client's interests at heart and it makes my heart glad to be in such company. The Active Rain staff, I can find no words for. It amazes me each day what talented and ingenious people Matt and Caleb are and how they envisioned such a thunderous place for all of us to come together. True "Rain Gods," thank you for giving us all this incredible opportunity!
We all have different voices and I have found my voice here at Active Rain which helped me to expand it to my Sacramento blog which never would have been possible had I not started here with all the other rain drops, dripping blogs into puddles which became rivers of thought, lakes of knowledge and oceans of friends. It is a wonderful community of exceptional people. I thank you for your graciousness and your open arms during these 100 blogs.
I must admit that technically, I have written more than 100 blogs since there were times that my blogs were not counted due to the over abundance of them in a given week. And alas, only 9 Featured Posts...and counting! But, officially this is my 100th blog.
Let the Blogs continue to RAIN!
