Jennifer, It seems so long since I've been there and it was only in the summer!  I love the seaport but I honestly do miss the fish markets there :)  It's a wonderful place to spend a day and I didn't know they were adding to it.  Beautiful shots, thank  you for sharing them.

Hi Jennifer,
Great photos.  I haven't been there in years but the fish markets are what I remember most, why did they close?

Jennifer...What a neat place! I have a slightly new fascination with places like that ever since I read the book FISH! It reminds me of the area and pier in San Fransisco where tourists go and shop and eat and eat. I bet it will be a big draw for tourists and hopefully some new residents...

The Hudson River is a wonderful asset to many communities in New York State. By land and by water, the river offers a lot to enjoy.

Ginger - It is also a place I am fond of.  Can you tell I love water?

Derrick - Thank you.  The city is a fascinating place.

Carole - I know what you mean. The last fish market I had fun at was Pikes Market in Seattle.

Jennifer, I am only a couple of hours away from there, but I have never been there.  It is amazing how we will travel hundreds of miles to see something, but not take advantage of what is almost in our back yard.

Nice photos, Jennifer. I wish I'd been there when the Tall Ships went by. I never tire of seeing them in full sail passing by.
