Detached Homes In Dale City Also In A Slump.

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Preferred Properties

The sales of detached homes in the Dale City Subdivision in Woodbridge Virginia are in a slump and the prices are still dropping.  The statistics I am reporting are only for detached single family homes and do not include townhouses.  The prices have taken a drop of about 35% in the last year and look to lose more over the next few months due to foreclosures and short sales.  If you are buying in this are make sure you get a good price and are planning on keeping the property for at least five years.  This is the case weather its an investment or being purchased as a primary residence.  For info on Townhouses in Dale City Click Here.

Price Range of Active Listings: $165,000-549,900

Active Listings: 211

Number of Short Sales:44

Number of Foreclosures/REO's: 50

The Average Days on Market: 149

The neighborhood should continue on a downtrend with pricing due to the number of REO's and Short Sales in the neighborhood. There are some good deals to be had in the area but a buyer should employee a knowledgeable Realtor before looking for a home or Investment.
