Neil: That's what I am doing now, during the summer. I love to work early in the morning, get a lot done before everyone else gets up. Of course I have to shorten my day at the other end, but that's ok. Just don't cut down on sleep. That is never good.

I tend to get up a lot earlier in the summer, it's a cyclical thing. Mornings are my favourite time of the day (except the rare ones when I'm a bit hungover).
