Value In Getting Up Early

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Results MN#20344949 WI#93113-94

I tend to stay up late so getting up early is not always easy for me.  On top of that little Lukas still does not sleep through the night so I have a 2 or 3 am appt with him almost every day.  (I am trying to let me wife sleep more.  She gets crankier then me. And hopefully does not read my blog).

With this and the other kids schedules sometimes I am either up early or forced to get up early (meaning 5am or so).  The value in getting up early is I can get things done.  Things like, blogging, working out, reading, emailing some follow up to people.

When 8 am or 9 am, whichever is a more normal start time for work, I am already off to a good start with a lot done.  Because I have a lot done I feel good. When you feel good, the day seems to go better.

Today is going to be a good day!

Amen.  Great post and I totally agree.  I compete in Ironman triathlons and I get in my training early.  It's the only way for me to do it.  Once the work day starts, it's tough to break that momentum for other things.  Getting up early is something I've gotten used to and it works well for me.  Of course, we are expecting our first in August, so life's about to change real soon.  And I reserve the right to change my mind on this if the kid ends up being a finicky sleeper....

I agree with you!  If I don't get things done that are for me, swimming, before 9 am, it doesn't happen.

Chuck, good for you getting up  and letting your wife get a bit more sleep.   i did the same thing and it made us all happier in the end and I would not trade those quiet early morning bonding times.

Good morning Chuck,

I agree, the early morning hours are my only "quiet time"...

Enjoy those 2 and 3am appointments with Lucas, you will miss them when they are gone!

I am definately a early morning person. My first appointment in the morning is "ME". My time to workout, the rest of the day goes so much better.
