Liz,
I see "progress" towering what was once our history and our past.
Don't get me wrong, I love shiny things, but enjoy the story of the older building.
This is an amazing photo> One can see many things in this image. The old and the new!
I agree Sheila - I love the old architecture and thats one of the reasons I love Europe so much. That being said I have to say I was mesmerized by the skyscrapers interspered with some of the more classical buildings - kind of an interesting juxtapositioning.
You're right Joan - the blend of the old and the new! Loved it!
Liz: Nice to see you ! If I look at the clouds to the right at the top, and let my imagination run... I can see somewhat of a body form... with a head at the top of it. The face of it almost looks a bit like that old-timey kids show character Howdy Doody. I used to watch it as a kid... almost sixty years ago. Hmmmm. I think I need a nap.
Hey Gary! :)
Karen - its been too long - you're right I actually remember Howdy Doody too! And theres a window washer there as well!
Wow, a great photo. The reflection of the buildings and the sky is perfect.
Old .... new .... antique .... modern .... change ... a reflection on life!
Liz, beautiful picture with an excellent effect.
I could see your imaginations in this image....
Liz: Do you remember any of the other characters besides Howdy Doody ? There was Buffalo Bob, Clarabelle, Chief Thunderthud, Dilly Dally, Detective John J Fadoozle, Flub-a-Dub, and my personal favorite... Princess SummerFall WinterSpring. Oh yes... and Mr Bluster. Mr Phineas T Bluster.
Ahhh... life was much simpler then, or at least it seems like it was.
Liz,
I see what looks like a glass mosaic of a red brick building and more. :)
Steve
