Save the Drama for Yo' Mama! I've never been a fan of drama kings and queens or crazy makers, but I've known several. You probably know the type too... they take center stage while having a grandiose sense of self. They love an audience (they wouldn't exist without one) and they're especially good at making epic and overly dramatic performances out of minor molehills. They pay attention to everyone's business except their own, and they're really great at pointing fingers and ascribing blame, but never to themselves.
Urban Dictionary's definition of Drama Queen is hilarious...
'An annoying b-tch who always feels like every insignificant problem in her day is a disaster of Hurricane Katrina proportions. Anyone who so much as gives her the time of day is in for an endless session of hearing why her boyfriend (husband) is such an a-hole, or how she's fat because she can't wear size 0 jeans along with an all day crying marathon...
If you value your sanity, avoid these psychic vampires like the clap or you'll never have a minute's peace.'
I've observed these types from the sidelines, occasionally offering benevolent advice while lending an empathetic ear. Then I learned my lesson... they're not interested in anything you have to say, nor do they want to grow from their experiences... they have an insatiable appetite for crazy making drama and you best stay out of their way.
Drama Queens & Kings & Crazy Makers spend their days trying to convince you that their dysfunctional childhood is the reason for their behavior... and that should explain everything! Right? I've personally witnessed crazy people throwing butcher knives at each other when I was 10 yrs old, but that didn't make me want to grow up aspiring to be a butcher knife juggler ;)))
You can subscribe to drama or you can run from it (and there are some healthy benefits to running)!
