Hood River Adopt A Dog Bark In The Park
It's almost time for the Hood River Adopt A Dog's annual fundraiser: Bark in the Park (previously known as the dog walk), Saturday, August 4th.
The highlight of the day is a 1.5 mile dog walk beginning at 9 a.m., at Waterfront Park and looping back to the park for a continental breakfast. Following that, the day is full of "doggie" events including contests, a bbq, huge raffle, beauty treatments like a dog wash and nail clipping station, "ask an expert" table for all those dog questions can be addressed and much more.
And you don't have to have a dog to come... this event is open to everyone!
Contests include: best shedder, costume contest, bobbing for hot dogs, doggy dash and more. Prizes will be awarded.
On site registration will open at 8 am at the Waterfront Park.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase all day. Winners don't need to be present to win.

Dog contests start at 11 am and will run back to back.
All proceeds go to Hood River Adopt A Dog, the volunteer group caring for all shelter dogs and providing veterinary care and adoption services for unclaimed dogs at the local shelter.
