It’s Flu Season...Go get that shot!
This is a reminder for all the residents of Albuquerque, Rio Rancho and surrounding communities, especially if you have just recently relocated to this area. It's the beginning of the flu season. If you are not affiliated with one of the local Healthcare Organization, you may be happy to know that WALGREENS and CVS are two of the places in Albuquerque that offer Flu Short for a small priice. It is very important that you get your flu-shots. Stay Healthy
As fall approaches so does Flu Season. The Flu or “Influenza” can be detrimental to anyone
but especially the young, old or those with a weak immune system. The benefits of getting an annual flu shot easily outweigh any possible negative side effects or inconvenience. It really makes no sense not to be immunized (unless of course you have allergies preventing such) always ask your physician and pay close attention to the questions asked on the forms you are required to fill out prior to immunization.
Today while at an unrelated doctors appointment they were advertising flu shots so we signed up immediately and within just a few minutes we were on our way. Most insurance carriers will cover the cost of a flu shot. So watch your local news to learn of many free clinics. We have on a fewoccasions joined in a drive by flu clinic at the University of New Mexico UNM. Yep, just drive up, roll down your window and roll up your sleeve and you’re quickly on your way..FREE!
More and more retailers and service providers are making flu immunization as convenient for you as humanly possible. I saw today where Target offers an On The Spot Flu Shot. Walgreens and even the local Smiths Food and Drug Stores are offering Flu Shots in the Albuquerque area as well.
Don’t make any more excuses..It’s Flu Season...Go get that shot!
