All you foodies in the Reno area aren't going to want to miss out on THE Haute Cuisine event of the year. Reno Chef Mark Estee will be headlining the Tractors and Truffles event being held this Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Lattin Farms in Fallon. This day long event is meant to highlight the Reno-area farmland's contributions to our dinner table. Fallon's own Chef Steve Hernandez (of The Slanted Porch) and the Art Institute of California's Chef Director Mark Davis will be joining Chef Estee in preparing a special meal of farm-to-table goodness.
Along with the luncheon, Chef Estee will take attendees on a tour of the Lattin Farms' grounds. After the tour and family-style meal, guests will be privy to a wine-tasting held at Fallon's Churchill Vineyards from 1:30-3:30pm. The Defibulators will hold a music workshop for those interested from 3-4pm. Cocktails will be served at Oats Park from 4:30-5pm, with the official Tractors and Truffles dinner offered from 5-7pm. The Defibulators will end the evening with their special blend of Bluegrass/Rockabilly/Country music at 8pm at the Barkley Theater.
Tickets for this day long event are $125 per person. Your ticket includes everthing: the farm tour, wine tasting, lunch, dinner, cocktails and music workshop with evening concert.
