Hi Mona, I've been watching for the bursts of color for the last 2 weeks and was super excited when I saw the first reds and oranges pop up. Day by day now everything is looking so much more colorful and as every year, I'm just in awe. It's so incredibly beautiful.
The color season is upon us for sure. We had a traffic jam in Franklin today. We needed the Sheriffs department, State Troopers and the city police to guide the traffic on 441 by-pass that is coming out to see the first fall foliage for the season. Going to be a busy season as long as we don't get a bunch of rain. Happy leaf looking.
Mona - every time I read about the season when all these colors around, I am thinking that it would be great to go and spend a few days enjoying it, but it is always the routine that gets the upper hand :)
Mona, the very first one? Are you sure it's the first? Just kidding, because I'm sure that very soon you'll have a bunch of gorgeous leaves.
Kettle, this is my favorite time of year, I love the colors of fall. Make it a great day...............Pot
Good morning Mona - leaves here in NJ are running behind schedule - we've barely got any color at all! Enjoy the fall while it lasts!
Good morning Mona. Another example of a keen eye and a full heart. Great photo and narrative. Enjoy the day.
Dale, we are so fortunate to live in areas where we get to enjoy these markers in the changes of seasons.
Andrea, I've been in Maryland in the fall and it is every bit of gorgeous that we are here...just in a different way. Enjoy it and I'll be checking for your photos.
Janine, if only everyone else reading knew how funny it is to think of Franklin, NC having a traffic jam! Good to hear from you.
Jon, it really is hard to be the alpha dog in our own lives! You owe it to yourself to get that upper hand and go see some colored leaves, lol.
Pat, that photo was actually taken a couple of weeks ago and now our colors are bursting out.
Dear Pot, do you know that I just recently learned there were colored leaves in Ohio? Of course, it wasn't that long ago that I learned the Emerald City was really a backdrop on a studio lot.
Wayne and Jean Marie, maybe you should be glad they are running a bit behind...that could mean they'll last longer!
Sheila, enjoy your day. I hope this weekend is the time you'll get to adopt several dogs and cats out to their forever homes and get a good offer on your house.
LMAO.............How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.................
Roger, it is hard to keep all this preciousness bundled up in one body...lol.
