EXIF Data in your Digital Photos is a two-edged sword.  It is quite enabling.  Here is an example of one of my photos and it's related EXIF contents.

Here is a screen shot detailing the GPS portion ot the data IN THE PICTURE file.

In my case, I wanted the GPS information for my picture.  However, the results may not always be what we want.  The example above was created at exifdata.com. You can get the data for yourself by saving a picture to your system then browsing for it and submitting it to EXIFDATA.com.

Check out this article.  Do a Google Search on EXIF Data and see what is there.  This could be a very powerful way to track fugitives out on bond.

Catching a fugitive makes EXIF data "Dangerous?"  I consider it quite useful.

I agree, Lee.  I see the EXIF Data to be quite useful. I bought the GPS Camera specifically because it creates the EXIF GPS information.

It could mostly be dangerous to people who do not want their positions tracked.

Interesting; I knew GPS data could "show" up in photos, but was not aware of the specifics.

Thanks, Carol, for your comment.  I edited the post to show how to get the EXIF data for any photograph that can be saved from the Internet or other electronic source. Go to http://EXIFDATA.com and follow the directions there.
