New Orleans Real Estate - Jindal announces a “new Louisiana”

For the second straight month, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal opened a special session of the Louisiana Legislature. This session is going to be whole lot more fun than the last one (the first special session focused on ethics reform). The politicians get to figure out how to spend a billion dollar surplus and how to cut taxes. The outcome should, according to Jindal, create a “new Louisiana.”

Jindal basically wants to spend 75% of the billion dollars on roads, bridges, ports, and flood protection. I am a fan of that! The roads in this state can be treacherous. The governor also wants to cut some taxes in a step specifically designed to “eliminate burdensome taxes on our businesses and transform our economic climate.”
