This is kind of a technical question. I have a wordpress blog and I have been holding of
re-blogging the content in AR. Reason being - Duplicate content.
Because Active Rain declares and discloses the duplicate content by putting in
"Originally posted at:"
I've seen this and am curious.
Has anyone out there lost any juice or experienced a loss in traffic on google because of the practice?
This is too technical for me, because I have just started the blogging process recently. It is something I am going to check into and it raises a great question. Thanks for giving me something extra to think about. I also have a word press blog but have used the Active Rain one more. If you find out let us know.
It's an acknowledgment of syndication and does not hurt you regarding the duplicate content aspect, actually it helps you. If you make comments about the post you will have added value to the information and should avoid the tag of "duplicate content".
