The Town Of Wake Forest offers NUMEROUS programs for both youths and adults.  Aside from there fantastic  athletic programs there are many cultural programs to choose from.  Here is a sneak peek and what your little one can get into.....

  • Preschool Art Class (ages 3-5) Students will learn to enhance social interaction and develop vocabulary through art projects and story-telling activities
  • Cookie Monsters (ages 5-6) Students will learn a new cookie recipe each week
  • Youth Golf (ages 5-11) Learn the basic fundamentals for putting, driving and golf rules.
  • Youth Oil Painting (ages 12-17) Students will learn color compositions and textures.
  • Kids Art (ages 6-8) Students will explore line, color, and composition through many different mediums.
  • Youth Acrylic Painting (ages 9-12) Students will learn color, value and composition.
  • Kids Chefs (ages 7-10) Students will learn beginner kitchen skills including measurements and kitchen safety. A different recipe will be taught each week. Participants will be exposed to a variety of tastes and textures.
  • Babysitting Boot Camp (ages 11 and older) Learn how to react in emergency situations. Learn CPR, basic first aid, choking management, business skills, and problem-solving. Participants will receive babysitting certification through the American Heart Association and the National Safety Council. No written exam will be taken for CPR certification.
  • Beginner Acoustic Guitar (ages 6-8) Students will learn basic techniques, chords, and finger exercises. Class requirements: Students must bring an acoustic guitar and a pick

Can you believe it?  Is there any reason to question why I love WAKE FOREST!!!  Registration fees and class times vary with each class so be sure to get in touch with The Town of Wake Forest Department of Parks & Recreation to get specific details and instructions for registration.

Thanks so much Jerry!  I hope that my love for Wake Forest translates into my posts.  I really can't see a reason why someone WOULDN'T want to live here.   I have taken my son to a few of the classes in the past that I mentioned about - very informative, creative and a great hands-on learning experience.  I guess I just want people to open there eyes no matter where they live and seek out what is already around them!
