Are Your Buyer’s Shoes Too Tight?
I am reading blogs about condos. Even if these condos are in other cities and other states. I specialize in condos, and I like to know what other agents do.
So, here is a blog post about a condo in a city where I have never been. There is information about the height, number of units, general location, some amenities. They have tennis court, and this is wonderful. There is an indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi , nice size pool…
But I can’t find any mention about the prices, not even the idea. I can't find any mentioning of the size of the units, Association dues, parking situation, pet policy, rental restrictions...
Do they have one-bedroom units and how much the maintenance and taxes are. What about 2 bedroom units? How big are the units?
What is the situation with parking? How many reserved spaces, and is there enough unassigned spaces? Do they allow pets? What is the rental policy? Is it predominantly owner occupied?
I am pretty sure that price, size, parking and pets would be the questions asked by overwhelming majority of buyers, so, why not dwell on what is important to people?
I understand that no post would answer all questions. I do not expect it. But if it does not answer the most common questions?
You think that if someone would be interested, they would call? If I were interested, I would not call this agent. I would Google the condo and find answers to my questions, and in the process, probably find someone, who is not so tight in my shoes...
I believe we need to learn to get into the buyers’ shoes and see if we provide the answers to their questions. I think the ability and willingness to get into customers’ shoes is critical in Real Estate.
I really believe it.
