Navy UDT SEAL Museum
Did you know that the Navy Seals have their own museum? Located in Saint Lucie County on the south portion of North Hutchinson Island and officially called the Navy UDT Seal Museum. This is a must see for anyone living or visiting our area.
Exhibits include the current and historical weaponry used by the U.S. Navy SEALs, full size displays of equipment and vessels used by the SEALs. Exhibits include the lifeboat from the Maersk Alabama (Somali pirate takeover ofcargo ship), Mark V special operations craft, Desert Storm vehicles, Vietnam era Patrol Boat Riverine, SEAL delivery vehicles, space capsule, a SEAWOLF Helicopter, and much more.
This museum opened its doors in November of 1985 and in 2007 by an act of congress it was designated as the official museum of the U.S. Navy SEALs and their predecessors.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from Noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $8.00 for adults (13 or older) and $4.00 for ages 6 to 12. For those under the age of 6 admission is free.
The Navy SEAL museum is a non-profit organization that receives no federal funding and is supported by volunteers and members.
