I had one of my site hacked, and had to “kill” it along with the associated email. Even after its "death", huge number of spam was still coming from now a dead site and email, and the IT people were scratching their heads trying to figure how this could be happening…
So, I figured that it would be prudent to go back to my AR blog posts and change some links, that are now broken.
I started with Bella Vista Condos in daytona Beach Shores. I typed “Bella Vista Daytona” in the search field of AR, and it pulled all my blog posts tagged “Bella Vista”. We used to have an easier way to do it at the time before fixing what ain't broke, but who said that upgrades should make our lives easier, or, at least, not make it worse?
Anyway, I methodically went to each blog and changed the links. I was proud with myself, though understanding, that with 2,105 blog posts, it was mission impossible and without that celebrity actor I would unlikely ever complete this mission...
When I looked at my Home page after that, I was surprised to see quite a few comments… to my very old posts, some dating to 2009… and I was stunned to see that these were the very posts that I have just edited. I went to check, and yes, they were shown as posted today. A whole bunch of them.
No, I did not change the status to “draft”, so I did not cause it. I simply edited them. But somehow they became “fresh”.
I thought about over 2,000 points for that rush of new posts, but no, points were withheld :) Actually, I lost some points, I noticed it later, that the number was less, but I did not pay much attention and do not know how many points I lost. I read before that if you go to your old posts, you lose points, I thought it had been fixed long ago, but, seems, this is not the case.
I do not know if this is me, or it happens to everyone (I suspect the latter is true) and this is simply the glitch, but hey, guys, I did not do anything wrong.
I do not have the writer’s block.
