Things To Do This Weekend In Lancaster - June 27-29 2014

Cruise In and Sock Hop - DJ's Taste of the 50's - Sunday, June 29, 2014 -2-5 PM Cruise-In: If you own a classic car head on over for an exciting afternoon, and if you don't own one, be sure to stop by to check out a parking lot full of spectacular classic cars!  Brush up on your dance moves as a live deejay (Lisa Landis) plays the tunes.  It will be held from 3-5:30PM and the restaurant will be open from 1-6 PM. 2410 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster PA. World Buffet Dinner -  Saturday, June 28 from 5:30 – 9 p.m. (last seating at 8:30 p.m.)

Upohoar Ethnic Cuisines is serving a dinner buffet menu will feature food from South Asia, North Africa, Sub-Sahara Africa, and Middle East. And finally, this weekend is Celebrate Lancaster on Queen Street in downtown Lancaster. This annual event has live music and tons of food. Here is the website description:

This year's event is scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2014, and brings over 15,000 people to Downtown Lancaster to experience great entertainment, food and a tremendous fireworks display that can be seen throughout Lancaster County.

Celebrate Lancaster showcases the cultures and diversity of the people who live and work in Lancaster City, with local foods, locally crafted wine and beer, and also professional, local and regional entertainment.

There will be two stages of entertainment, both at Binns Park and Penn Square, featuring great live music from a variety of sounds including bluegrass, Latino, R&B, rock n’ roll and more. Also, two beer and wine pub areas will be part of the event, one adjacent to the Penn Square stage and one across from the main stage at Binns Park. Over 25 food vendors will line North Queen Street throughout the day and evening – making this a true festival for the senses. 

Event Schedule

11:30 AM – 10 PM Over 20 food vendors along North Queen Street and in Lancaster Square.

5  – 10 PM Live music on two stages at Penn Square & Binns Park.  Plus two pub areas featuring beer and wine.

10 PM Fireworks from top of the Duke Street Parking Garage
