Lead By Example . . . . By Giving It All You Have
“Leadership is getting players to believe in you. If you tell a
teammate you’re ready to play as tough as you able to,
you’ll better go out there and do it. Players will see
right through a phony, and they can tell when
you’re not giving it all you got.”
Larry Bird, NBA Hall of Fame
As I see it. . . . . . . .
Lead by example . . . . by giving it all you have
The most important judge of your actions is yourself. You know when you’re giving it your best effort possible . . . . or when you’re just doing enough to get by.
When you’re doing less then you need to do your cheating yourself out of reaching your full potential . . . . and your cheating those who are counting on you.
People around you know when you’re giving your best . . . . and when your dogging it.
Personal effort is a habit . . . . of giving it all you have that becomes a habit of personal excellence. A person of excellence will talk the talk . . . . and back it up by walking the walk.
Do what you do with excellence . . . . and give it all you have in the things you do. Don’t quit on yourself . . . . stay on the course of personal excellence in your actions.
What you believe you can do . . . . and when you do what you do with excellence you stand out in your profession. You will be recognized as a person of excellence by your peers . . . . and the people you do business and associate with.
Lead by example by . . . . giving it all you have . . . . and do it with excellence . . . .
