Magnetic Camera Lens - Love It!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to those who posted a while back about the magnetic wide angle lens.  I have debated back and forth about buying a new camera with a wide angle lens and this magnetic lens.  I was worried about the quality of it and would the magnetic really stick and not fall off.

Since my camera is not that old, I couldn't justify the cost of the new camera but since I am now going to be putting together RealEstate Shows for my clients, I knew I had to do something.  So I bit the bullet and ordered it.  It came this week and I used it on the vacant shots in my last post.  What a great investment that $45 (price plus tax and shipping) was!  It has a little magnetic ring you put on the cameras and it's a simple as that.  You place the lens on top of the ring and presto your camera is transformed!  Yeah!

Here is a link for those who haven't gotten it before:  http://www.magneticlenses.com/

Does anyone else have this product?  I am wondering about the longevity of the magnet ring, although it did come with a second one and I'm sure you could get replacements if needed also.

I have one and love it too! It makes such a big difference, especially in smaller rooms.  I'm still on my first ring, have used it for pictures of about 3 houses.   A co-worker lost hers and was looking into ordering replacements. I'll let you know if she has any luck. I believe someone in my office heard about it on ActiveRain as well. Its a great find!

I hadn't heard of this magnetic ring, but I just bought a new digital wide angle camera that is really cool.  It's the perfect REALTOR camera. It's a Kodak V705, and it fits in the palm of your hand.  Technology is great isn't it?

Cathy - Good to hear that you like it too.  Let me know if your co-worker has luck finding replacements.  That will be good info to have.

Barbara - glad you found a good camera.  I've heard good things about that camera.  Mine is a Kodak Easyshare C310.  It's not the greatest but with a tripod and a little editing, I think my pictures turn out pretty good.

Jon, Courtney, and Vanessa - Glad you found the info helpful.  Let us know what you think after you look at it.

Thanks Lea-Ann for the info.  I didn't want to have to buy a new camera, but definitely wanted a wide-lens.  Great solution!  I look forward to taking great photos!!

Thanks again!

I too ordered a magenetic lense from www.magneticlense.com and never received the merchandise which was billed to my account by "Merth Commerce" - now have credit card company investigating the charge which I'm disputing.  So BUYERS BE WARE when dealing with online companies.  I'm sure wide angle lenses are great and I wish I had one but not from this company!

I, too, ordered this past Feb. 2010, and have received NOTHING. The worst part is, a colleague of mine ordered a few months before me and received hers.

I ordered a large magnetic lense from MagneticLense.com, Merth Commerce, last October after attending a Realtor.com sponsored workshop where they were recommended. I have an order number, faxed, tried calling, wrote, etc. and never got a response or lense. The sham company was then in St. Petersburgh, FL. I wrote to the Western FL Better Business Bureau and they got no where. I just searched for Merth Commerce, and apparently they have moved to Beaverton, Oregon. I called Realtor.com and complained to them that they were promoting a bogus enterprize. I made the mistake of ordering with my debit card. Big mistake. Merth Commerce is a crooked organization.
