Is anyone working with a lead generation company that they are really satisifed with? I have heard some crazy stories out there. I have tried (2) companies but they have not been quailified leads at all. It has been quite frustrating.
Hi Michelle,
I am not working with any of the lead companies here in Columbus Ohio. I have heard so many other Realtors say that they are "dead leads" and most are buyers that can't qualify to purchase anyway. Does anyone respond to "telemarketers" anymore? Honestly, I am one of those that unless I ask for someone to contact me regarding something I will not return the call ...it always goes into my voicemail. I spend my money on promoting myself to get buyers...then they call you ...it's them that need you at this point and it's usually a "win-win" situation. Please let me know if you find out differently or find a good, trustworthy lead provider...most seem to go through the phone book or find people on web sites. The best leads are someone that is in need of our service not someone that was put on a list so the list can be sold.
Best wishes to you in 2008!

I do not do business with lead generation companies. If only it were that easy!

Welcome to Active Rain. Congratulations on your first blog. This is a terrific community for real estate professionals. Virtually everyone will help you grow your business in one way or another. This post is a summary of some of the blogs that helped me get started in AR. I hope that you find something of value in it.
I think you'll find that most people on this site stay away from lead generation companies. I've read a couple of posts and have yet to hear anything positive.
Just say no to the lead generation companies! They are there to take your money and not give you business, the only referral clients you should ever consider taking are from other agents that refer something to you on a personal note and offer them to you on a percentage of the commission if it closes, never an upfront fee!
We invite you back to ActiveRain in 2018!
Much has changed since you last posted to ActiveRain. I encourage you to take another look at the website.
Best to you!
