The purpose of filming a home is to add to your current marketing strategy by creating excitement! This being said, you want to plan carefully for each home you film. For instance, you wouldn’t have the same plan for a starter home that you would a luxury home.

When filming a home, you don’t necessarily have to go over every single room. You want to showcase the areas of the home that will create the biggest emotional response.

Be prepared! Write a script or jot down bullet points so you aren’t just “winging it”.

When editing, don’t forget to add some type of audio, as research shows that audio accounts for 40% of the viewing experience.

Invest in some quality equipment: hand-held cameras make for shaky videos.

May I also suggest, wipe off the lens with a proper cleaning cloth before filming... especially if you are taking video with your smartphone.  Many videos are fuzzy or grainy because of a dirty lens.

Search engines look for videos in listings and rank these higher in the list, thus improving the chances of it being seen by more people searching organically for a listing.
