Desert in the Pearl
Earlier this week before going to the Eagles Concert (OMG, what an event THAT WAS), a core group of us girlfriends (The "BraPack") visited with our girlfriend, Brenda (third from the left),
who just bought a loft apartment with her husband in the much-coveted area called "The Pearl District". Doesn't that even SOUND gloriously upscale?
They moved into The Gregory,
an amazingly gorgeous Art Decoish building, reminiscent of an old-fashioned Audrey Hepburn hotel in NY.
I took this first photo outside on her loft balcony, facing the fading sunset. It felt like some desert shot, far far away in a country SO unlike America!
Her husband told us that they eat out or order in every night and there are five restaurants in the building alone! Not my cup of tea, but they are in their element, surrounded by city life at its finest.
Art, shopping, and exquisite culinary treats, available out your front door...quite a different life from the broad,open countryside of Fishhawk Lake.
The Pearl District is about 90 minutes from Fishhawk Lake, if you want a completely different taste of living--I know the way there and back, just call me!
