The strangest thing happened with my iPhone in Sacramento a few days ago. Since I almost always wear my Bluetooth all day long, I initially heard a little blip in my ear but didn't pay attention because I was glued to my monitor, fingers flying across the keyboard, which is basically what most of my days are like. I got up to stretch, pet the cats, and I picked up my iPhone to make a call. I can't ask Siri to do it because she tries to call Nigeria.
The screen was black. I pressed my Bluetooth and it made no connection. I pressed the Power On button and nothing happened. I pressed the on / off button on top and nada.
My heart slowly sank into my shoes, and believe me, there is no room in my shoes except for my toes. A wave began to pass over me. I felt as though I might collapse so I sat down in a safe spot just in case I keeled over. A God-fearing person would gravitate toward the thought that Armageddon was upon the world. This went on for 20 minutes when all of a sudden, for no explicit reason, my phone suddenly dinged with an email sound, one of the most beautiful sounds in the world.
