You’ve got everything ready for your new office, now it’s time to decide between the privacy of cubicles or the open spaces that come with the bullpen layout. Earlier this year the New Yorker reported that 70% of offices go with an open floor plan.
A tough decision, and essential to ask those who work in an office, if change is contemplated. An open concept does foster learning, as people observe the pros and how they do it.
Interesting ideas. I think it really does depend on what kind of work is getting done in the office, and the personalities if thise working there. I would guess that a company needing more creative thinking would benefit from an open space to encourage the sharing of ideas and perspectives.
