Sony Open 2015 final stats at Waialae Country Club-

Jimmy Walker made seven birdies in Sunday's final round and was bogey-free, hitting 16 of 18 greens. It took 188 starts on the PGA TOUR for Walker to acheive his first victory. He now has four wins in his last 32 starts. That just goes to show that perserverance and passion can and does pay off.

“I feel like all the hard work I've been doing is paying off,” he said. “I put in the time. I feel like I've got good people around me, and I think that's really made the difference. They've helped me believe that I can be better than I am.”

Aloha RnA,

I enjoy watching golf and playing on occasion, I have very patient friends who indulge me every once in a while. My Grandparents were big golfers and when they would bring me to the Country Club I always ended up in the pool. But my thing was to sit with my grandmother and watch golf for hours and I have enjoyed it ever since. I have a decent chip shot but lets just say I spend an inordinate amount of time in the rough to make playing enjoyable, but it's great to get out on the links and stretch ones legs just as long as the present company isn't too serious about it.

a hui hou,

Aloha Kevin, thanks for commenting. The energy at Hockey games is different than other live spectator sports, perhaps it's the chill of the arena but I find Hockey to be one of the more lively and engaging sports spectacles. Golf is the antithesis of Hockey in many ways and definitely a more cerebral activity.
